Introduction
Why do you need an ACUA chair in your pool? With the heat gradually arriving, it’s almost time for a dip in the pool. But at General Elevadores, we don’t want to leave anyone behind, and we offer solutions so that people with reduced mobility can also get in and cool off. But these solutions... are they mandatory? Well, it depends. First, let’s take a look at some history:
History of legislation
Let’s get into the time machine and go back to the year 2022. At the beginning of that year, we wrote an article reporting on the new regulations for accessibility in public spaces, drawn up by the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda. The aim of this regulation is to guarantee accessibility and not to discriminate against anyone when accessing and using public spaces.
In other words, if the swimming pool you go to is the one in your community, it must comply with this legislation. But what happens if you want a friend or relative with reduced mobility to accompany you in your own swimming pool this summer, or if your community needs to install an accessibility chair? In that case, you can opt for our range of pool chairs. Shall we get in the water?
