Our best projects in 2021

We bid farewell a year that has been a huge challenge for everyone professionally speaking, but especially personally speaking due to the situation we are currently undergoing. The fight is ongoing, so we continue to move forward with resilience, clear ideas and the utmost conviction that we will prevail due to the fact you are always by our side.

In a year in which empathy and integrity have been two major virtues, we at General Elevadores have been lucky enough - as always – to have an exemplary team that has brought out the best in themselves on a daily basis. We are also particularly grateful to everyone that decided to place their trust in us by using our services. The words THANK YOU are not nearly enough to express all our gratitude. We are what we are and have come this far thanks to your impetus. You are the driver that spurs us on.

Hence, as a sign of gratitude we decided to dedicate this space to summarise 5 major milestones-projects we were involved in over the year. We should point out that these are just 5 of the many projects we have been fortunate enough to have been entrusted with. Are you coming?

1. Tender process for lift maintenance at the Ferrol Naval Bases.

We received great news in the month of February: we were awarded the contract for lift maintenance at the Ferrol Naval Bases! This project consisted of the preventive and corrective maintenance of lifts, service lifts, stair lifts and other equipment at various units of the Ferrol arsenal. This initiative added 64 pieces of new equipment to our maintenance portfolio.

2. Tender process for lift maintenance with the Municipal Institute of Housing in Malaga.

In March, we were awarded the contract for the maintenance of 60 pieces of lifting equipment in several of the public housing schemes of the Municipal Housing Institute. This enabled us to continue to add to our lift maintenance portfolio with public bodies. We are extremely proud to be involved in such important projects.

3. Installation of an Isolift at the Celia Viñas Institute.

In April we were given the opportunity to execute a spectacular project that required ingenuity and planning involving the installation of an Isolift at the Celia Viñas Institute, a historic 20th century building that is part of the Andalusian Historical Heritage.

4. Tender process for lift maintenance at the Juan Compañel Library, the Xosé Neira Vilas Library and the Galician House of Culture.

Vigo City Council has once again placed their trust in us and awarded us the contract for the maintenance of lifting equipment at the Juan Compañel Library, the Xosé Neira Vilas Library and the Galician House of Culture. We are so happy to be able to continue working on accessibility in buildings that are so important to local culture.

5. Tender process for the installation of the lifts in the new Malaga Metro stations: Atarazanas and Guadalmedina.

In July, we received the fantastic news that we had been awarded the contract for the installation of the lifts in the new Malaga Metro stations. We are extremely proud to have our brand involved in such important public works. This project consists of the installation of six 100% Spanish-manufactured electric lifts. Two of them will be installed at the Atarazanas station. They will be panoramic and one of them will feature double 180º boarding. The other four will be installed at the Guadalmedina station and will also be panoramic and feature double boarding.

Now that 2021 has come to an end ... what we need to do is to feed on all the positive energy we have received throughout the year to ensure 2022 is full of major challenges and countless projects.
