A more accessible pool for this summer

1. Introduction

Summer is upon us and for many people, it is the start of their favourite season for making the most of their pool at home. If you have a private pool, there are a number of things you should check to make sure you get the most out of it this summer. Among them is how to make your pool more accessible this summer.

You probably already know how important it is to maintain your pool properly, even during the winter months: a thorough cleaning when you stop using it in summer and, in the run-up to winter, a regular check of its condition and cleaning again before refilling it. Check the chemical levels of the water and adjust as necessary. Also make sure the equipment is in good working order.

2. Improve access to your pool

It may be time to optimise accessibility to your pool. The works are costly and time-consuming, so building a ramp may not be the best idea you have in mind.

For this reason, we propose an easier, quicker solution, without the inconvenience of building work: installing a pool chairlift. We give you several reasons for this:

  • 1. Accessibility: An access chair provides an accessible solution for people with reduced mobility or physical disabilities. It allows these people to enjoy the pool safely and comfortably, without having to worry about architectural barriers or movement limitations.
  • 2. Inclusion: By installing an access chair, you are promoting inclusion in your environment. It allows family, friends or visitors with disabilities to join in water activities and share special moments in the pool along with everyone else.
  • 3. Safety: Pool access chairs are designed with specific safety features. This ensures that the person using it is protected and can enjoy safe access to the water.
  • 4. For anyone, at any time: In addition to being an inclusive and safe option, an access chair can be convenient for anyone. If you have temporary mobility difficulties due to injury or any other reason, the chair provides an easier and more comfortable way to get in and out of the pool.

At General Elevadores we have our Acua Chairlift, which meets the highest standards of safety and hygiene, is free of contaminants and has a capacity of up to 150 kg.

Moreover, one of the advantages of this alternative is that it can be easily adapted to all types of pools. The rotation angle is 170º clockwise, offering maximum stability and firmness.

This way, you will ensure that everyone can enjoy a more accessible pool this summer.

3. Protect your pool

Another essential element in your pool is the pool cover. This is a protective cover designed to be placed over the surface of the pool when it is not in use. Its main purpose is to protect the pool from the elements and keep it in good condition.

In terms of the types of covers, this will depend on the season: you can find them for the summer season (designed to prevent water evaporation by protecting it from the sun) and winter ones (more resistant to support a greater weight due to inclement weather such as snow or water).

Pool covers are an excellent option for keeping the pool clean, protected and safe when not in use. It is important to choose the right type of cover according to your needs and specific pool conditions.

At General Elevadores we also offer a range of pool covers. You can find manual and automatic pool covers. Discover more on our website.

With all these tips for a more accessible pool this summer, all that remains is to start enjoying your pool with your family and friends!
